Global Marketplace Vision Trip
Welcome to the Global Marketplace Vision Trip!
The Global Marketplace Vision Trip (March 21–April 4, 2026) is a learning-focused experience designed for families and individuals who want to better understand how history, culture, and faith intersect in Eastern and Central Europe. While we will see some sights, it’s not primarily a sightseeing vacation—it’s a chance to see what it’s like to live and serve in the region. Starting off in a major city in the Turkic-Arabic area, and ending in a major city in Central Europe, with great times in Croatia and another Eastern European country between, travelers will trace the enduring influence of the Ottoman and European empires and how that “tug of war” continues to shape the worldview of people in the Balkans today. Initial due date for trip planning is January 15, 2026 (although the earlier you plan to go, the cheaper your flights are likely to be).
Participants will meet marketplace professionals and local Christian workers who are living out their faith in their adopted countries, learning from them about the opportunities and challenges of sharing the gospel in this diverse and changing region. You’ll walk through mosques and markets in a major city in the Turkic-Arabic area, explore the layered identity of a significant modern Eastern European city, visit the historic city of Split, and spend time in a major old Central European city connecting with believers from across Europe. Each stop is designed to build cultural understanding and spiritual insight.
If you’re a parent wondering what it might look like to live overseas with your family for a season, or perhaps someone curious about digital nomad life in another culture, this trip offers a “taste test” of what it could be like for you. It’s also a meaningful way to spend an extended spring break—learning, serving, and seeing how God is at work amid Europe’s cultural transitions. Email [email protected] for more info.
Cost:- $2750 per person (Note: some fees may be lower for those with small children if they can stay in the same room with their parents. A family could save an estimated $400-700 per person in family, for instance. Also note that flights estimates from ORD/Chicago are included with this cost estimates and may be different depending on your home airport.)
