NEXT Week: Waha [IWU]

Spend a week in May serving alongside a team from IWU and learning from local ministry leaders serving with Global Partners in Waha, our domestic US-based mission field serving a predominantly Muslim population. Get a taste of cross-cultural ministry on a short-term trip. Experience a new culture, participate in local ministry events, and engage with God's global mission.

During NEXT Week: Waha you will get to jump in on ministry and community activities reaching the growing Arab and refugee population. Come join what is already happening here by tutoring refugee kids, assisting with English language centers, learning useful tools for connecting with people of the Muslim faith, and eating some really great Middle Eastern food! You’ll experience the unique community the Midwest United States and learn how to make a lasting impact in your own community back home! 

This trip is open to Indiana Wesleyan University students. 

• Site Description: The Waha team assists the immigrant, refugee, and established Muslim community through authentic expressions of the love of Jesus Christ. As a NEXT resident, you will experience cross-cultural relationships as you help Muslims encounter Jesus in a safe, supportive environment.
