My first time hearing about the opportunity to travel to Eastern Europe through Global Partners was two summers ago through Belinda Selfridge. It captured my interest since I had spent 7 years traveling to another Eastern European country. In the time since becoming aware of the opportunity, it was in the back of mind and heart, but in God's timing, the trip opportunity and my readiness coincided.
This will be my first Global Partners trip and I'm expectant that God is up to something big!
With that said, I am older now and a little challenged in the area of daily walks of up to 3 miles on hilly terrain! However, I have confidence in God's power to carry me through every difficulty. I am thankful for any prayer for this!
In my past experiences, I learned to be "flexible like water" and that has served me well. Listening -- to God and to others -- is also going to be important. Keeping my eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith is my intent. By his grace we can run our "race" with endurance. I know it's important to pack light concerning the needs of the flesh and pack heavy concerning the needs of the spirit.
